Q: Why should I hire a professional instead of doing it myself?
A: We are able to use professional quality products that produce better results and our products are designed to have less odor, less chance of leaving ugly stains, and less opportunity for misuse than store-bought products when applied by a licensed pest control technician.
Q: Why can’t I get the same materials at a home improvement store that you can get?
A: Our materials are meant to be used for specific methods of treatment depending upon the type of pests that are causing the problem. Some products we utilize are never released to the general public because they could do damage to other beneficial insects if handled improperly. Fish or birds that we do not want to harm during the pest control process would most likely be affected due to potential misuse of products by untrained individuals or irresponsible application methods.
Q: I have pets and small children, are your products safe to use around them?
A: All of the products we use are approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and when applied correctly are all pet & people friendly. However, we do ask that you keep pets and children out of direct contact with the chemical until they have had time to set and dry, usually from 5 to 25 minutes.
Q: Do your chemicals have an odor?
A: Our indoor products are rated as low odor chemicals and may have a minor scent immediately after application, which usually dissipates as the products dry.
Q: Will I have the same technician each time I am scheduled for service?
A: Yes, in most cases your technician will be the same from month to month, however on occasion you might see a different technician.
Q: When you treat my kitchen cabinets, should I wash them out after your service?
A: No. Do not wash your cabinets or floor areas after we have sprayed or you will effectively erase the barrier of protection that we’ve just put in place making your home susceptible to pests once again. Instead, you may wipe out the cabinets with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris.
Q: Do you have to spray the inside of my home every month?
A: You are not required to have the interior of your property serviced each month if you do not wish. Once the exterior barrier has been established it is quite effective in keeping pests out of your home. We do, however, recommend having the inside serviced at least once every six months.
Q: Do I have to leave the property when you service my home?
A: This is dependent upon the type of service being done at your residence. For General Pest Control and most other services, you will not have to leave your home, with an exception being made during a German Roach or Bed Bug flush out where we find the need to use fogging (bombing) machines.
